Billboard Award coroa "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" de Michel Teló e Taylor Swift como grande vencedora

O brasileiro Michel Teló ganhou o prêmio pela canção "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" na categoria Top Canção Latina do Billboard Awards 2013, evento realizado na MGM Grand Garden Arena, em Las Vegas, na noite deste domingo (19).

A cantora americana Taylor Swift liderou a premiação desde o anúncio dos concorrentes. A estrela country venceu 8 das 11 categorias que disputava e saiu da premiação como Melhor Artista do Ano, Melhor Artista Country, Melhor Canção Digital, Melhor Artista 200 Billboard e Melhor Artista Feminina.

Ela também dominou nas categorias de seu gênero (Melhor Artista Country e Álbum Country) e seu disco "Red" foi escolhido como melhor entre "21" de Adele, "Babel" de Mumford & Sons e os trabalhos "Take Me Home" e "Up All Night" do grupo One Direction.

"Estou muito feliz", assegurou a jovem de 23 anos no palco. "Vocês são a melhor e mais longa relação que tive", disse Swift a seus admiradores, que se mostrou bastante animada durante a festa, onde também cantou.

A premiação coroou como melhor canção de sua lista "Top Hot 100" o hit de Gotye, "Somebody That I Used to Know", que foi também recompensada com o título de Melhor Canção da rádio, reproduzida na internet e Canção Rock. O sucesso do australiano tem rendido royalties no valor de US$ 1 milhão à família do brasileiro Luiz Bonfá, que morreu em 2001.

Vaiado, Justin Bieber reinvida mais atenção à sua música

Rihanna ganhou quatro prêmios com seu disco "Unapologetic", dominando no gênero R&B, incluindo Melhor Álbum e Melhor Canção ("Diamonds"), assim como Justin Bieber, outro dos protagonistas da noite com três prêmios, entre eles o de melhor artista masculino.

Sob vaias, de acordo com o site da revista "People", Bieber ganhou o prêmio das redes sociais e o da popularidade, chamado Milestone e votado pelos fãs, onde era finalista junto com Taylor Swift e Bruno Mars.

"Isto não é uma montagem", declarou Bieber que foi ovacionado pelo público ao mesmo tempo em que aproveitou para pedir que o levassem a sério. "Tenho 19 anos e penso que estou fazendo um bom trabalho", comentou o cantor que reivindicou que se falasse mais de sua música.

Bieber se apresentou duas vezes durante a noite, a primeira depois que Madonna recebeu seu prêmio de melhor turnê (ela também conquistou dois prêmios de música dance). O segundo show foi com Will.i.am do Black Eyed Peas.

Os jovens do One Direction, banda que saiu do concurso de televisão britânico “X-Factor”, ganharam como Melhor Grupo, Melhor Artista Revelação e Melhor Artista Pop, enquanto a banda Fun. ficou com o troféu de Artista Rock. Nicki Minaj ganhou o mesmo prêmio, mas na categoria Música Rap.

Prêmios póstumos e shows
A falecida cantora hispânica Jenni Rivera, que morreu no ano passado em um acidente aéreo, foi escolhida melhor Artista Latina e ganhou também na categoria de melhor Álbum Latino.

A cerimônia foi marcada pelas apresentações de Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez, The Band Perry, David Guetta, Chris Brown e Prince, que recebeu um prêmio honorário e cantou seu clássico "Let's Go Crazy".

O incidente da noite foi protagonizado pelo cantor Miguel, que decidiu pular sobre um grupo de espectadores como parte de seu espetáculo e "aterrissou" na cabeça de uma jovem que, segundo informou a Billboard, saiu ilesa.

Os finalistas para os prêmios Billboard são selecionados em função das vendas de discos e canções, suas reproduções na rádio, as turnês, assim como sua presença em redes sociais e popularidade em plataformas como YouTube e Spotify.
