Beatles e Kraftwerk receberão prêmios por conjunto das obras no Grammy

Os Beatles e a banda alemã Kraftwerk receberão na próxima edição do Grammy, em janeiro, o prêmio Lifetime Achievement, em reconhecimento ao conjunto de suas obras.

The Isley Brothers, Kris Kristofferson e o mexicano Armando Manzanero também serão laureados com o prêmio, além de Clifton Chenier e Maud Powell, que receberão a homenagem de forma póstuma.

Já o prêmio Trustee, entregue a artistas que se destacaram fora da área da música, será entregue ao compositor Ennio Morricone, a Rick Hall (dono do histórico estúdio Fame, no Alabama) e ao fotógrafo Jim Marshall, morto em 2010.

A 56ª edição do prêmio acontece no dia 26 de janeiro, em Los Angeles. O rapper Jay-Z liderou a lista de indicados, com nove nomeações. O músico, no entanto, ficou fora das categorias principais.

Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell e Justin Timberlake vão concorrer a sete fonógrafos dourados, cada um, na cerimônia de premiação que acontecerá no dia 26 de janeiro nessa mesma cidade da Califórnia.

Além disso, outros artistas com várias indicações foram Drake e Bob Ludwig, ambos com cinco. Daft Punk, Lorde, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift e Bruno Mars concorrerão em quatro categorias.

Daft Punk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis e Taylor Swift disputarão o prêmio de álbum do ano graças aos lançamentos de "Random Access Memories", "The Heist" e "Red", respectivamente. Terão como concorrentes Kendrick Lamar ("Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City") e Sara Bareilles ("The Blessed Unrest").

O prêmio de melhor gravação do ano, concedido ao melhor tema, será decidido entre Daft Punk e Pharrell Williams por "Get Lucky", Imagine Dragons com "Radioactive", Lorde por "Royals", Bruno Mars com "Locked Out of Heaven", assim como Robin Thicke com "T.I." e Pharrell Williams com "Blurred Lines".
