Rihanna e Nicki Minaj lideram indicações ao American Music Awards

As cantoras Nicki Minaj e Rihanna lideram as indicações ao American Music Awards, concorrendo em quatro categorias – incluindo artista do ano, na qual Rihanna disputa o prêmio com Justin Bieber, Drake, Maroon 5 e Katy Perry.

Drake, Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction e Usher receberam três indicações cada, enquanto Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, fun., Gotye, J. Cole, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, Pitbull e Katy Perry concorrem em duas categorias.

A premiação deste ano terá uma nova categoria: Música Dance Eletrônica, no qual concorrem David Guetta, Calvin Harris e Skrillex.

A divulgação dos indicados ao 40º American Music Awards foi feita pela cantora Christina Aguilera na manhã desta terça-feira (9), em Los Angeles. Christina também anunciou que se apresentará na premiação, que será realizada no dia 18 de novembro.

Os vencedores serão escolhidos pelos fãs através de votação na internet, que já está aberta.
